See what the sisters of Kappa Phi have been up to...
Welcome back for Winter 2009! Kappa Phi started the semester with a bang, celebrating Founder's Day with sisters of the Montreal Alumnae Chapter on January 7.
Winter informal recruitment saw us welcome six lovely new ladies - Alana, Amber, Anim, Echo, Megan, and Snowy. Recruitment was amazing, thanks to the hard work of our VP Membership Recruitment, Ayden. We initiated our new members on March 20, with help and sisterly support from members of the Montreal Alumnae chapter. Congratulations, ladies, and welcome to AOII!
We held Roseball, our annual formal celebration, on March 7. It was a huge success, largely due to the efforts of VP External Operations Brianna. Thank you to all the sisters and guests who attended!
We have also been busy with philanthropy this semester. On March 14, sisters volunteered at Santropol Roulant, delivering meals for homebound individuals, and on April 5, we helped out Making Waves, an organization which teaches disabled children how to swim.
Kappa Phi finished the school year with a fundraising semester on April 8. On April 6, we bade a laughter- and tear-filled farewell to our graduating sisters at Mourners' Dinner. Congratulations to those who are leaving us, and enjoy the summer!

Fall 2008 saw the ladies of Kappa Phi welcome three wonderful new girls, Lauren, Brianna, and Isabelle, during fall recruitment.
On September 25, 2008, we held a successful fundraiser, All YOu Can Eat PIe-A-Thon, for our signature philanthropy, Strike Out Arthritis. Thank you to all our ladies for their delicious pies and other baked goods, and to the McGill community for supporting us and our cause!
Other philanthropy events in Fall 2008 included attending the Montreal Alumnae Chapter's bowling party for Strike Out Arthritis and Trick or Eat with McGill Meal Exchange.

We joined our lovely sisters of Gamma Chi chapter (Carleton University, ON) in Ottawa for our Initiation retreat the weekend of November 14, 2008. In addition to our joint Initiation, Kappa Phi explored Ottawa, including a trip to Parliament!
On November 30, we installed new officers and created our 2008-2009 Leaders' Council, headed by Chapter President Crystal White. Congratulations to all of our incoming officers, and thank you to the hard-working, dedicated sisters of Leaders' Council 2007-2008!
Kappa Phi finished the semester with a delicious sisterhood event, our annual Holiday Dinner on December 2, 2008.
